Bismillah is an Arabic word meaning “In the name of Allah (God)”. It`s said at the start of any task to seek blessing, guidance and protection before beginning any action, such as eating, starting work, or prayer.
Painted in Dahab, in Muhammed’s Bedouin house among the sand and dust under the open sky in the sun and wind together with two Bedouin cats as assistants.
I painted my life in brief moments between the brown eyes of the Bedouins, the light brown sand of the desert and the brown sandy mountains of Sinai.
In between all the life moments – beautiful and ugly, I catch inspiration, the light of the sunset behind the mountains, the Bedouin moon, the smiles of the camels, I paint my desert, walking with dusty feet and wind – ruffled hair, I reflect on my life, I feel fear and inspiration. And simply I am in this beautiful place.
