Felipe's Spanish brigade - Pablo, Salvador, Fernando and the Italian Padre Salvatore - was also joined by his Greek cousin Dimitris Papadakis. And it stays hot in the city 😊
I was inspired by a real prototype in Greece - the bartender of a five-star hotel, who was so fascinatingly charming and self-confidently able to talk with an unlit cigarette in the corner of his mouth. Greek richly laid tables with octopus, shrimps, sardines and other delicacies under the warm sky of the Greek night inspired this work. The character's last name is borrowed from the inscription on the bus on the island of Zakynthos, while driving with friends in a Tesla car and standing in a traffic jam, at the same time pondering the name of his painting.
Dimitris Papadakis – owner of a fish restaurant hotel on the most beautiful Greek islands. Harsh and gentle, sinful and honest at the same time. But like all my artistic men, this one has something to hide. What do you think it is?
