I love to travel not only to get inspiration for new paintings, but to discover another world and myself in it. Traveling is a crossing into another reality that is unpredictable, shocking, inspiring. We are infinitely fragile when thrown into another country and culture. Just like a porcelain vase - one step and you will never be the same again. A Nubian village in southern Egypt inspires me to draw bright blue houses, a yellow sun, African patterns. This work was created in Dahab after a trip to a Nubian village in Egypt.
