In the Sahara Desert of southern Morocco, 30 km from the Algerian border, the desert palace “Carrefour des Nomades” is home to the desert princesses I painted. Painted on Berber sheets with a dried brush, these works are atypical for me, but that is why they are very dear to me. I love the desert, sand, sun and the imperfect life when you live and create art from what is available.
In the territory of the desert palace, where the desert and dunes begin, I found an abandoned adobe hut, to the wall of which the sheets given by the Berbers were attached with nails and desert-inspired art was created in the sun, wind and sand. So far, the most exotic and beautiful art studio I have ever had.
