While traveling through southern Turkey in the spring, I spent a day at a beautiful beach with white stones and turquoise water. I had paper and acrylic markers with me, and I drew little crabs and red stripes. Later, back home, I created this drawing of a mermaid and crabs, recalling that warm March day by the sea in southern Turkey.
