Painted in Andalusia, Spain as a gift for my friend Loretta. She wanted a painting called Esperanza (hope / in Spanish), but I guess she never thought she would get a painting like this :)
Pablo Esperanza - the crookedly imperfect self-confident Spaniard. This is my first man in art inspired by David Bowie, Spanish men, the siesta and the Spanish leisurely life.
Even at that time, without realizing it, I discovered another of my subjects in art – southern men who wear bright colors, smoke like chimneys, and feel infinitely satisfied with their lives.
