In the middle of an ordinary life, the world gives us a fairy tale. Uzbekistan travel inspiration. Oriental patterns, a mysterious princess in a full moon garden, magic surrounded by pomegranate trees, a cat quietly following her footsteps.
After a beautiful trip through the ancient cities of the silk road in Uzbekistan, a series of works inspired by eastern fairy tales "Road to Samarkand" was created, where I put all my dreams on paper, experimenting with a new style - paper, watercolor, oil crayons, pencils, acrylic. Tile patterns, gorgeous oriental buildings, moonlit nights and oriental fairy princesses.
Source of inspiration – all the most beautiful cities of the silk road - Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva. The girl's name is Safia - from our favorite cafe in Tashkent with the same name, where we went to drink ginger tea.
*Safia is a girl's name that originates from Swahili culture. This name is associated with purity and also symbolizes a good friend and confidant.
*Pomegranate – the Uzbek symbol of fertility and one of the fruits of the fabled garden of paradise.
